Obituary for Boneta Joy Wisniewski

Boneta Joy Wisniewski passed away peacefully at her home in Covina, California, on March 10, 2026, at the age of 82.

She was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Lloyd and Bonnie Pierce. Boneta was the eldest in a growing family, which would eventually include 11 children—a role she cherished deeply and for which she remained grateful throughout her life. Her family later relocated to California, where she attended Monrovia High School.

Boneta’s interest in medicine led her to become a certified critical care hospital unit secretary. She dedicated 25 years of service to her patients and their families at Emanate Queen of the Valley Hospital, where she was known for her compassion, dedication, and steady presence.

She is survived by her brothers Ron, Dennis, Terry, Monty, and David, and her sisters Shirley, Debbie, and Fleta. Boneta was a devoted mother to her three children—Lisa and Fred, from her marriage to Fred Cianfrocca, and Erika, from her marriage to Stanley Wisniewski. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother to Marlisse and Mariella, and as a great-grandmother to Aurora.

Boneta’s family is deeply grateful for the many years they shared with her and will especially cherish the love and care she gave so freely.

A private celebration of Boneta’s life will be held by her family on April 25.
