Bill Cantleberry

Bill's kindness, courage, and unwavering integrity will forever inspire us.

Frank William Cantleberry (aka. Bill Cantleberry), age 74, of Orange County, California passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will take place at Faith Baptist Church in Orange, California on September 6, 2025 at 1:00pm.

Born in Long Beach, California, on June 23, 1951, Bill graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Film.  He spent most of his career as an engineer, first in the defense industry and later in electronics and In-flight entertainment systems.  He retired in 2021. 

Bill lived a very healthy lifestyle as an avid runner, bicyclist, and horseback rider. Bill is also an avid reader.  He had a great love for animals. Bill was filled with kindness and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him.  His favorite hobby was watching restored old classic movies, and he spent much time pursuing that interest. Bill also loved to travel the world with his wife, Heidi, visiting places like Shanghai, China and Europe.

Bill is survived by his wife, Heidi Sun. 

Bill will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, and love for his family.  His laughter and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the City of Hope Cancer Center or Faith Baptist Church in Orange.
