Bernard "Bernie" Lewis, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at The Fulton Center.

Born on February 25, 1944, in Amsterdam, a son of the late C. Jerome and Dorothy (Walster) Lewis. A lifelong resident of the area, Bernie graduated from Amsterdam High School, then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corp.

Bernie retired from Mohawk Finishing. He was an avid NY Yankees fan, BINGO player and was the family historian.

Bernie is survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bernie is predeceased by his brothers, Charles Lewis and Kenneth Lewis; his sister, Trevelyn Levandusky.

Funeral services for Bernie will be held privately and he will be laid to rest in the Spring at Greenhill Cemetery, Amsterdam.
