Bernard Ray Cron, 87 years of age, passed on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Greenhouses at Mirasol in Loveland, CO.

Bernard was born on August 21, 1938, in Hoytville, OH to the late Marlin and Opal Cron. He was raised on the family farm.

On June 30th, 1962, Bernard married the love of his life Carolyn in Toledo, OH, from which six children were born. In the late 1970’s the family moved to Colorado.

Early on, Bernard worked various manufacturing jobs and eventually became an over the road trucker in the early 1970’s. Bernard enjoyed traveling the country with his family, fishing in his free time, and loved reading anything he could get his hands on.

Bernard was a huge Colorado Avalanche and Bronco’s fan. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids.

His family knew him as a gentle and kind man, who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He was the foundation of the family, and he will be dearly missed.

Bernard leaves behind his wife of 63 years Carolyn A. Cron, his five children Eric Cron, Donna Tilly, Tim Cron (Leigh), Julie Cron, Jennifer Cron, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marlin and Opal Cron, brothers David and Paul, his son Michael B. Cron, his daughter-in-law Dawn Cron, and his granddaughter Jennifer Tilley.

A family gathering will be planned at a later date.
