Barbara was born in Corona, Long Island, NY, to Anthony and Marjorie La Rosa on a cold winter day. That's probably why she brought so much warmth and love to everyone she knew.

Barbara has joined her husband, Luke in heaven and their reunion was surely a joyous one. She is predeceased by her brother, Richard La Rosa and nephew Anthony Swanson. She is survived by their foster son, Tony Phan and his family, (Dieu, Anthony and Tommy) her sister, Judy Swanson, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, some biological and some related by love.
