Audrey S. Almy, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Palatine Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center under Hospice Care.

Born on December 6, 1938, in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Calvin and Helen (Fancher) Young. A lifelong resident of the area, Audrey graduated from Gloversville High School. She went on to work as a secretary and courtroom stenographer for Fulton County Probation Department and Fulton County Court System.

Audrey was a member of the former Foothills United Methodist Church. In her spare time, Audrey loved to play BINGO and was an avid Polka dancer. Most of all, Audrey was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Audrey is survived by her wonderful companion of many years Donald Gleason, her sons, Frederick "Rick" Almy (Maria), Robert Almy (Tracy) and Todd Almy (Jolene); sisters, Janice Getman (George), Kathleen Hawkins, and brother, Robert Young, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her daughter, Colleen Almy and her sister, Margaret Sanders.

A memorial service for Audrey will be held in the Spring, a date and time will be announced.
