Obituary

Alvin Ray Andres, 86, passed away on January 24, 2026. He was born

in Greeley, Colorado on January 30, 1939. He later moved to Windsor,

graduating from Windsor High School in 1957. He then began his

career at Woodward Governor. He married Evelyn Young on April 15,

1961 and was drafted into the U. S. Army exactly one year and one day

later. He completed basic training in Missouri and was stationed briefly

in Oklahoma before being deployed to Baumholder, Germany for 16

months.

When he returned from serving his country, he returned to Woodward

Governor for his 30 year career. During this time he and Evey had 2

children and enjoyed their life in Fort Collins. He spent time always

having a beautiful yard, attending his daughter’s activities, coaching his

son’s little league sports and being an avid runner and golfer.

After retiring, he and Evey spent time both in Arizona and Colorado,

enjoying family, friends, golf, travel and sports. He loved his family and

his country.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Andres; daughter Cheryl Roberts

(Alan), son Curtis Andres (ToniRae), grandsons Cyle Weaver, Cory

Weaver (Natalie), Reece Andres, and Scott Roberts; great

grandchildren Cory Weaver Jr. and Aden Shriver and many family and

friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence W. and Merna Andres,

brother Stan Andres and his wife Marilyn.
