William John Mueller

William John Mueller (Bill), 90, of Rockledge, FL passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026.

Born on January 3, 1936 in Irvington, NJ, to Eugene and Marie Mueller, the son of German immigrants.  He carried forward their traditions and values, blending them with a deep love for family.  Bill graduated from Irvington HS in 1953, the same year he moved to Union, NJ with his family and enlisted to serve in the United States Army.  Bill built a long and honorable career as a Press Operator for the Newark Evening News/Star-Ledger newspaper, where he was respected for his work ethic and reliability.  At 62, retirement took him to Melbourne, FL

Bill was married to Nancy Kaeflein Mueller for 68 years.  He was a devoted husband and together they built a life that spanned from the neighborhoods of New Jersey to the sunshine and warmth of Florida.  A proud and attentive father, Bill raised three children—Denise Schein (Allen), Carol Villa (Dino) and William Mueller (Cassandra). To his children, he was a source of calm guidance and steady love. To his grandchildren Dana, Kristen, Devin, Austin, Marisa, Patricia and Kristopher, he was the gentle, smiling presence.  Bill was also blessed with 8 great grandchildren.

Outside of work, Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he held the prestigious position of Fourth Degree Knight.  He also enjoyed watching a good soccer game and volunteering his time at his church and local hospital.  But mostly, he took great joy in listening to his son’s Spitze Band and dancing to the German music.

His family takes comfort in knowing that he enjoyed a full and well-lived life, marked by love, devotion, and quiet strength.  Bill will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family and all who knew and loved him.

Following Bill's wish, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on 11am  Friday, March 6, 2026 in the Chapel at St. John the Evangelist Church, Viera, FL.  Repast immediately following.
