In Loving Memory of

Socorro P Perez

February 14, 1941 – October 29, 2025

With deep love and heartbreak, we announce the passing of Cora Perez, who entered the presence of the Lord unexpectedly on October 29, 2025. Cora lived a life filled with love, kindness, prayer, and unwavering devotion to her family and her faith.

A proud and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she always made sure her family was cared for, uplifted, and surrounded by love. Her greatest joy was her family, and her purpose was to love and protect them. She loved Jesus deeply and hoped for her family to walk in faith as she did.

She is survived by her children:

Virgil Perez, Martin Perez (Gloria), Eddie Perez (Antoinette) & Eleanor Perez

Her grandchildren:

Corinna, Regina (Adam), James (Vanessa), Jonathan Tiffany), Tariana (Omar), Amanda (Jevon), Micaela(Bruce) & Virgil (Natashia), Sergio, Angelica, Anthony

Her great-grandchildren:

Angelina, Olive, Nathan, Landon, Mateo, Lorenzo, Zoe, Aaron, Aiden & Aubrey

Survived by her brothers, Richard & Jerry and her sisters Nellie & Carmen

She is also remembered by her god-daughter, Jenny Wilson, who held a special place in her life.

Cora was welcomed into heaven by her beloved sisters Mary, Helen, and Margie, her brothers Johnny, Jessie, Raymond, David, and Danny, and dear friends Donna, Carol, Aunt Rosie, and Manuel.

A woman of many talents and quiet creativity, she loved crocheting, painting, ceramics, coloring, tending to her plants, and watching hummingbirds dance on the porch. She had a magical green thumb — every plant flourished in her care, just like the lives she touched.

She enjoyed camping, caring for others, and preparing meals from her heart — including the best homemade tamales and tortillas, lovingly shared with anyone she could bless. For years, she lovingly cooked dinners for her church, a ministry dear to her heart. She spent many years as a caregiver, giving comfort and dignity to others with the same kindness she showed her family.

Though we were not ready to say goodbye, we rejoice knowing she is home with God and reunited with loved ones. Her hands and her heart shaped a beautiful family, and her love will live in us forever.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Matthew 25:23

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to remember Cora Perez.
