Mrs. Sharon Yvonne Johnson
March 2, 1938 — July 25, 2025
Let me keep my distance, always, from those who think they have answers. Let me keep company always with those who say "Look!" and laugh in astonishment, and bow their heads.
**Obituary for Sharon Yvonne Johnson** Sharon Yvonne Johnson, born on February 2, 1938, in Everett, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, in Lacey, Washington, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend who left a profound impact on all who knew her. Sharon was the beloved wife of Rodger Johnson and a devoted mother to her daughters, Dianne Lee and Debra Dill, and her son, Andy Johnson. She also held a special place in her heart for her sisters, Beverly Baumgartner and Karen Davis. The bond she shared with her family was characterized by love, warmth, and generosity, attributes that defined her character throughout her life.
A proud graduate of Everett High School in 1956, Sharon went on to further her education at Seattle Pacific University, where she studied to become a dental assistant. Her career was marked by her roles as a Teacher Assistant at Reeves Middle School and a Clerk Typist at Labor and Industries, where she garnered the respect and affection of colleagues and students alike.
Sharon was known by all who knew her for her kindness, generosity, and boundless energy. She had an innate ability to connect with others, always excited to share a laugh or lend a helping hand. Whether it was through her love of flowers, her passion for reading, or her enjoyment of hiking, Sharon approached life with a sense of curiosity and joy. Her family and friends were her greatest treasures, and they will remember her not only for her nurturing spirit but also for her honesty and humor.
As we gather to celebrate her life, we invite those whose lives she touched to honor her memory. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, located at 1224 Legion Way SE, Olympia, WA 98501, on Sunday, August 31 at 2:00 PM.
