May 28, 1938 — November 26, 2024
There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts.
Rodney A. Rice, aged 86, passed away on November 26th, in Bothell, Washington. He was born to Oscar and Helga (Markstrom) Rice on May 28th, 1938 in Everett, Washington. He grew up in Everett and graduated from Everett High School. In 1963, he married Verona Brown. They were long-time residents of Edmonds. Rod was the parts manager at Olympic Lincoln Mercury, in Seattle, for almost three decades before retiring in 2000. He loved spending time with family, motorhome travel, woodworking, house remodeling, walking the Edmonds waterfront and was always interested in how things were made. His woodworking skills, the variety of gifts he made and the help he gave to others with their projects will be remembered by many. Rod leaves his wife, Verona Rice (Ronnie), two children in Washington, Greg (Leslie) Rice and Jennifer Rice, and Randy (Juli) Rice in California; along with 5 grandchildren. Per his wishes, no services will be held. His family will gather, in remembrance, at a later date.
