Richard "Dick" Holmes

Our beloved PopPop passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 while his wife of 67 years, Ruth, lovingly held his hand. He is also survived by his two children, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was surrounded by family as he went into the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior.

He was an extraordinary man, soft spoken, patient, respectful and kind to all.

As a proud career veteran and pilot of the USAF, he demonstrated courage and integrity flying missions all around the world. He was also a man of faith. He was committed to supporting and building his church community.

PopPop enjoyed spending time with family at the beach and loved teaching each generation the joy of bodysurfing. He was avid about sharing his love of golfing, fishing, hunting, ping pong, baseball, and skiing with family and friends.

Our family has been blessed to have had him guiding, nurturing and teaching us for 95 years. He will truly be missed.

Services will be held later this year.
