Mark David Donovan was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1958 and died at his home in Huntington Beach, CA on February 9, 2025. Mark battled prostate cancer actively and intently for five plus years. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jayne Donovan, his children Erica Donovan and David Donovan, his siblings Nancy Donovan, Linda Lindquist and Paul Donovan, and his four grandchildren: Blake, Heyden, Brody Andrew and Dani Mae. Mark’s sister Jennifer died in 2012.

Mark loved his family, working with his hands, Maui, and the ocean in general. He was an extraordinarily talented carpenter who used his natural skill and common sense in ways that always benefited his work, his colleagues and his clients. He will be missed and remembered with love by his family and friends. Gone too soon at 66 years of age, Mark was smart, hilariously funny and sweet. His loss is a heady thing our hearts cannot comprehend.
