John Merral Snyder

John Merral Snyder, 86, of Palm Bay, FL, was called home to the Lord on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army & Marines, John dedicated many years to serving as a police officer in Joliet, IL. He was an avid fisherman and a talented handyman who cherished spending time outdoors with his family.

John is survived by his beloved spouse of 35 years, Joselita Postrero Espinosa Snyder; his daughters, Bretta (Robert) Steadman, Theresa (Mike) Gregg, Cathy (Bart) Woodham and Marie (Bobby) Killen; his grandchildren, Michael & Isabelle Steadman, Noah & Zack Wimer, Ronald, Dereck & Trevor Woodham, Ezekiel & Elijah Killen; great-grandchildren Riley, Adalynn & Delton Woodham, Monroe & Hadley Woodham, as well as brothers Derral & Terry Snyder, and countless family and friends who hold dear memories of him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen & Kathryn Snyder, his brothers, Kenneth & Orville Gene Snyder and great-grandchild Ronald Woodham IV. John was a hardworking, protective, and generous man who took great pride in his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
