Joanne L Richardson

Joanne passed away on April 18, 2024, two days after her 86th birthday. She died peacefully at home in Huntington Beach, CA after her battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her husband, Bob Richardson; her three daughters, Kelly, Kathleen, and Kirsten; six grandchildren, Justin, Alexander (Alex), Hannah, Madeline, Sean, and Connor; and five great-grandchildren, Emerson, Noah, Declan, Olivia, and Teagan.

Joanne is preceded in death by her sisters, Leda and Sandra, and her parents, David and Mary Ciaccarini.

Joanne was a fun, loving mom of three daughters. She loved all animals, especially dogs. She was kind and caring, often opening her home to those in need. Her three daughters, Kelly, Kathy, and Kirsten were the love of her life. Joanne graduated with an AA degree from Pasadena City College and went on to become a dental assistant. She was also an entrepreneur and in 1980 opened her own florist shop in Fountain Valley - Magnolia Florist. After selling Magnolia Florist, Joanne became a dog groomer and partner with her future husband, Bob, as part owner of Mr. Pet Pet Grooming and Supplies. When Mr. Pet sold, she went on to manage one of Albertson Grocery Store's floral departments, making it one of the largest and most profitable in the chain. After she retired from Albertson's Joanne worked as a lunch aid at Fulton Middle School in Fountain Valley.

She eventually retired and enjoyed home life, travel, and her family. Joanne devoted much of her life to doing charity work for over 25 years through Omni Service Club – a local charity she helped founded. Omni raised money for local children with disabilities. She also donated her time and floral skills to her church, Saint Simon & Jude Catholic Church, creating beautiful floral arrangements for holidays and special occasions.

Joanne is with the angles now, smiling down on us with her beautiful smile.
