Jesse Charles Brown Sr.

November 19, 1945 — January 3, 2025

Psalm 73:26: "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Mr. Jesse C. Brown, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, and veteran, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 19, 1945. At 13, he moved to Winter Park, Florida, where he attended Winter Park School and graduated in 1967.

After graduation, Mr. Brown answered the call to serve his country and was drafted into the United States Marine Corps, where he courageously served in Vietnam. During his time in the Marines, he met and married Luz Liccup, a native of the Philippines. Together, they welcomed a son, Jesse C. Brown, Jr., into their lives.

Sgt. Brown dedicated 38 years to the Marine Corps, retiring with honor and distinction. Throughout his remarkable career, he earned numerous congressional awards, a testament to his unwavering commitment and exemplary service.

Beyond his military accomplishments, Mr. Brown was a talented musician who found joy in playing the keyboards and guitar. His love for music was as enduring as his love for family, and his melodies will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, cherished by his son, Jesse C. Brown, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Barbara Green Brown. His memory lives on through his grandchildren: three grandsons, Trevor Hudson, Toei Hudson, and Jesse Brown III, and three granddaughters, Ebony Brown, Ja'Miracle Green, and Aaliyah Joffrion.

Mr. Jesse C. Brown, Sr., will be remembered for his courage, devotion, and the indelible mark he left on the lives of all who knew him.
