Jane Elizabeth Jordan

Dec. 3, 1949 -May 12, 2024

Jane Elizabeth Jordan, 74, of the Junction City area, lost her hard fought battle with cancer on May 12, 20224 with her beloved husband & family at her side.

Born in Portland, Oregon, she went to Mount Tabor Grade School and Grant High School, in Portland, then moved to Kennewick, Wash. where she graduated from Kennewick High School in 1967. She lived in various cities in Washington state for nearly 30 years, before settling in Eugene, Oregon in 1996.

After graduating from high school, she was a stay-at-home mom, then worked for the South Columbia Basin Irrigation District in Pasco, WA.; and was a sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, where she earned a brand new Pontiac Grand Am.  She also worked in sales, marketing and advertising at The Springfield News, Country Coach in Junction City, and QSL Printing in Eugene. She was also an administrative assistant for Kindtree Productions-Autism Rocks.

She was always creative and enjoyed creating art but began a career as an artist in the mid 2000s, and had an online Etsy Shop, J-Craft Art and also sold art at The Emporium in Veneta.

Jane - who hated a typo in print - but loved a good laugh, was known as “The Eternal Optimist.”  She never forgot a birthday, and was kind and encouraging with others, even when she was facing her own health battles.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends; arts and crafts; traveling to the Oregon Coast, Hawaii, the family property in LaPine and the Pendleton Roundup; as well as watching the hummingbirds and other birds from the backyard.

She leaves behind her husband of 26 years, Dan Jordan of Junction City; daughter Lezlie Bigham (and her husband, Rick) of Creswell; RB Allen McCord (and his wife, Teresa) of Kennewick, WA.; as well as bonus daughters: Julie Smith (and her husband, Ernie) of Springfield; Kim Chambers (and her husband, Shane) of Prineville; and Angie Dahlgren (and her husband, Denny) of Portland; as well as 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason; and her grandson, Marc.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 1, at Musgrove Family Mortuary, 225 South Danebo Ave., Eugene, OR.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane’s name to: The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

A second graveside gathering to place a headstone will be held in Kennewick Washington at Mueller’s Desert Lawn Park & Crematorium, date to be determined.
