Elizabeth Beth Newton
January 11, 1943 — February 17, 2026
Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Newton, 84, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away peacefully February of 2026.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 18, 2026, at 5612 S. Hickory St. Littleton, CO.
Beth was born in Corpus Christi Texas in 1942 and grew up in Arcadia, CA. Upon graduating from high school, Beth continued her education at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In her freshman year, she met a very handsome fellow by the name of Robert (Bob) Newton. They would go on to marry, settle in Colorado and raise two children, Betty and Frank.
Soon after having children, Beth was a stay-at-home mom and was always active in community and church events. In 1977, Beth decided to go back to school and finish up her degree in business at the University of Denver. In the early 1980s, she and Bob started a real estate investment company where they each worked for the next twenty years.
Beth had a passion for giving back to the community as a volunteer at Warren Village, and clowning. She loved to visit retirement homes and participate in parades as Frizzy Lizzy, her clown persona. She loved seeing the smiles on the people she interacted with. She also had a passion for tole painting and was active in the local chapter of the tole painter’s society. The grandchildren were always treated to precious painted Christmas ornaments and Halloween decorations, originals by Nana. When the grandchildren would visit the grandparents, Beth would love to sit them down and paint something together…one of her ways to connect with them and they loved the time with her.
Beth is survived by her children Betty Mills, and her husband Andrew Mills, Frank Newton and his wife, Beverly Maison. Grandchildren, Benjamin Mills, and his wife Cecilia Mills, Jacob Mills, Spencer Newton and Harrison Newton. Great Grandchildren, Joanna Mills and Henry Mills.
Beth is preceded in death by husband, Robert Newton, father, Frank T Olson, and mother, Joanna O Higginbotham.
