**Obituary for Donald A. Pendleton** It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald A. Pendleton of Volutown, CT, who departed this life on June 14, 2025, with family by his side in Canterbury, CT. Born on March 15, 1965, in Norwich, CT, Donald was a beloved father and grandfather. Donald was the proud father of Tamar & Eric Mercier of Mannsville, Ok, and Victoria Pendleton of Middlebury, VT. He was a cherished grandfather to Triston, Teigan, & Railand Mercier, and

Lucian Christian, who brought him immense joy and happiness.Donald is predeceased by his parents, Harold & Marion (Clark) Pendleton, and his siblings: Sarah Sloane, Clara Murphy, Maryanne Mickey, and Bradley Pendleton. He leaves behind a large family, including siblings Evelyn & Dan Howe of Michigan, Harold & Phyllis Pendleton of Tennessee, Laura & Kent Stroh of North Dakota, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and more siblings from Connecticut: Peggy Picco, Martha & Bruce Laney, Kathleen Brown, George & Sharon Pendleton, Mike & Vivian Pendleton, Charlie & Mary Pendleton, Fred Pendleton, Melissa Rain and Nancy Langlois. Throughout his life, Donald engaged in a variety of careers, showcasing his versatility and diligent character as a mechanic, construction worker, and tree cutter. With an energetic spirit and a great sense of humor, he had an affinity for kite flying, bike riding, and enjoying peaceful evenings by a warm fire, where he often shared laughter and stories with family and friends. A celebration  of life honoring Donald's life will take place on July 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Bethal Church, located at 1 Rixtown Road, Griswold, CT 06351. As we fondly remember Donald A. Pendleton, let us celebrate a life that was lived with kindness and joy, leaving behind a legacy of love for his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
