Daniel Brian Crossett

March 3, 1956 — February 7, 2026

Daniel Brian Crossett passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, after three months of home hospice, at the home of his brother Greg & Kathy in Tucson, Arizona.  He will be remembered as a strong Christian man, who loved his family, loved animals and was a generous man who would give those less fortunate the "shirt off his back" if needed.

Dan grew up in Tucson and after graduating from high school, he moved to Southern California in 1974. He joined the Carpenter's union and went through the apprenticeship training through a program at San Diego City College.  Once becoming a journeyman, he rose to a superintendent position in charge of layout for high-rise buildings throughout Southern California.  He was extremely adept and successful in his career.  His fellow workers called him "Dan the Man".

He experienced great hardship after a brain injury in 2000 requiring him to relearn speaking and cognitive abilities.  He was no longer able to work.  He was always determined to improve every day and was very highly competitive until his passing.  He remained on disability until age 65.

He loved playing games with family and friends, especially cribbage.  He beat his brother Greg the last two games that he was able to play. He loved playing "Oh Hell" with the family.

He enjoyed watching sports and was a longtime participant in a fantasy baseball league.  Dan was a fan of all University of Arizona teams and truly was a "Bear Down" type of guy.

He loved his pets, especially his cats and is survived by his favorite "Domino", who now lives with his surviving son Brian and his partner Kerrie.

He is also survived by his daughter Danielle Sherman and her husband Terry.  Dan was so proud of both of his kids and the multitude of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren that Danielle added to the Crossett family tree, including the Grandchildren Jordyn, Paige, December, Destyni, Jerzie, Treyton, Aspen, Kaecyn, & Koltyn. Great grandchildren...Zaiyden, Rhett, Micah, Kinzley, Aiyon, Reyden, Brynnleigh, Havik, Azilynn. Kingztyn.  He is also survived by his brothers Gary & Greg and their wives Janet & Kathy.

He was preceded in passing by his father, Bob, his mother, Betty and his brother, Jeff with whom he is now reunited. He is "Finally with the Lord".
