Dale Wayne Wells

December 29, 1964 — July 15, 2023

Dale Wayne Wells, 58, of Flint, MI, died on July 15, 2023. He will be missed. He leaves behind his children, Hannah Wells of Bay City, who he affectionately called ‘Little One’ whenever he had the chance, Hunter Wells, who serves in the United States Navy Submarine Force, Steffani Allen, and grandson, Brayden Drury of Swartz Creek, his sister, Alicia O’Hara, Aunt Jimmie and Uncle Arnold Wells, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends. Dale, born in Flint on December 29, 1964, was an avid Rock and Roll fan. He ran lights and sound for several of his friends’ bands through the years. He attended Flint Northern High School and graduated from School of Choice in 1983. He became an uncle at age 8 and wore the title as a badge of honor, with many adopting him as “Uncle”. He saw becoming “Dad” as his highest honor though. He was preceded in death by his father, Barney Lee Wells Sr., his mother, Dona Faye (Gresham) Wells Bailey, his sister, Barbara Tingle, and his brother, Barney Lee Wells Jr. His family would like to thank the staff of Hospice House of Shiawassee County, who cared for him in his final moments and extends their deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to Jaina, Jeanette, Tammy and Makella. There will be a celebration Sunday, July 23rd. Please see the Events tab above for details. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice House of Shiawassee County (https://www.hospicehouseshia.org/) or Whaley Children’s Center of Flint (https://www.whaleychildren.org/donate-today/), a special place in Dale’s heart.
