Christi L Miller

On Friday, August 11, 2023, Christi Lynn [Tower] Miller, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was 66 years old. Christi was born in South Pekin, IL. on December 15, 1956, to Charles and Darlene Tower. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is remembered fondly by her children and loved ones for her fierce protective nature and her quirky sense of humor. Her younger brothers would speak often of their “tom-boy” sister who was “tough as nails” and their childhood protector. Christi had a passion for many things artistic and often enjoyed creating beauty. She was expressive with a paint brush, inspirational with her sketches, and found peace when she assembled arrangements with flowers. For over twenty-five years, Christi was a dedicated caregiver for the elderly. She was very passionate when she spoke of her profession and cared about each of her patients as if they were family. She was a faithful member of The Philadelphia Church of God, and she carried her faith and love for God with her until she took her last breath. Christi is preceded in death by her father, Charles W. Tower, of Peoria, Il., and her mother, Darlene J. Tower, of South Pekin, Il. She is survived by her four children, Jason De Vera, Shannon [Tj] Carpenter, Travis [Flavia] Germersshausen, Briana [Jeff] Griffith, Six grandchildren, Rachel Woods, Alaina Woods, Jaiden Griffith, Ethan Griffith, Emma Griffith, Reid Griffith, two brothers, Steve Tower and Joe [Julie] Tower, and one niece Jessica [Seth] Keene. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, September 17, 2023, at The Zilker Botanical Gardens Auditorium on 2200 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX 78746.
